Our firm concentrates on:
While we are a Manhattan-based firm, we handle matters in all five of the City’s boroughs, Westchester, and Long Island. Where appropriate, we serve as co-counsel on matters outside of this geographic area.
We believe that our narrow focus enables us to remain abreast of the most recent developments in our field, and to provide our clients with high quality representation in their important family law matters.
Our objective in divorce cases is to reach a positive result for our clients as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. While we have the capacity to engage in aggressive matrimonial litigation, we believe that negotiating a carefully crafted settlement is a better approach for all involved.
Our firm handles the entire range of divorce and separation matters, from relatively simple cases involving minimal assets to complex cases entailing the valuation and division of professional licenses, pensions, and other complicated asset classes. Where necessary, we consult with appraisers, accountants, and other financial experts in order to arrive at an appropriate resolution of a case.
Our practice encompasses custody and visitation matters in Family Court and Supreme Court. We handle initial custody and visitation proceedings, petitions to modify custody and visitation orders, relocation cases, and disputes under the Hague Convention on Child Abduction and the Parental Kidnapping Prevention Act. We represent fathers, mothers, partners and grandparents in custody and visitation litigation.
We pride ourselves on our ability to advocate aggressively on behalf of our clients while remaining sensitive to the needs and concerns of the children involved
Our firm handles the negotiation and drafting of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements for clients who seek a comprehensive solution to their planning concerns. While we are highly effective in our representation of clients who seek prenuptial or postnuptial agreements, we take care to handle their cases with the sensitivity and discreetness that we believe these matters require.
Our firm guides stepparents and partners through the second parent adoption process, enabling stepparents and partners to attain the same legal rights and responsibilities as biological parents.
Our partners are experienced in handling the wide array of legal issues raised by domestic violence, including petitions for and enforcement of Orders of Protection and the effect of Orders of Protection on custody and visitation.
